Court docs: Pregnant Portland woman struck by more than two dozen bullets

Left to right: Geontae Jones, Demetrius Brown, Kelani Brown - charged in the death of Portland woman Ervaeua Herring.

New court documents show more than two dozen bullets were fired from six different guns in a pregnant women's 2014 murder.

Demetrius Brown, Kelani Brown and Geontae Jones have been charged in the death of Ervaeua Herring.

The three men appeared in a Multnomah County court Friday morning. Both Demetrius Brown and Geontae Jones waived their right to a bail hearing.

All three men are scheduled to stand trial in about two weeks.

Another man accused in Herring's death is in jail on an unrelated charge.

Ervaeua Herring was shot and killed at her apartment on Southeast Powell Boulevard in the early morning hours of August 17, 2014. She was 21 at the time of her death.

Neighbors told KATU that several men with guns started shooting through the walls of the apartment #7 at the Eastwood Village Apartments.

Herring was sleeping inside the apartment. Her 1-year-old son wasn't home at the time of the shooting.

The shooters broke into another apartment before opening fire in what was described by police as a gang-related killing. Investigators said they believe the suspects were looking for Herring's boyfriend.

During her autopsy, the Oregon State Medical Examiner found that Herring was in the early stages of pregnancy.
