Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers reward in 2011 homicide investigation

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Police Bureau and Crime Stoppers of Oregon are asking for the public’s help solving a 2011 homicide.

On May 16, 2011, officers responded to North Trenton Street and Newman Avenue for a report of gunfire in the area.

When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Shalamar Alte Edmond dead at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined he died of gunshot wounds.

Detectives leaned Edmond was walking home from his girlfriend’s house when he was shot and killed. They do not have any suspect information.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 that leads to an arrest in the unsolved homicide.
