BORING, Ore. – At least one person died when a driver collided with a motorcycle rider on Highway 26, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. at the Southeast Stone Road intersection, which is near the Multnomah/Clackamas County line in Boring, Oregon.

Initial reports state that the motorcyclist was riding west on the highway when an SUV pulled out from Stone Road, making a left turn into the eastbound lanes.

At this point, officials have not identified the deceased, but have said the motorcyclist was male.

First responders closed down the westbound lanes of the highway while they handle the fatal crash. Deputies are rerouting drivers onto Southeast Haley Road, but say people should expect delays of up to two hours.

Authorities at the scene said there was another fatal crash at the intersection nearly two months ago.
