Deputies arrest driver for DUII, other charges in Oregon City fatal crash
OREGON CITY, Ore. – The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a driver involved in a fatal crash in unincorporated Oregon City late Tuesday night.
Deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash around 11 p.m. at the intersection of South Beavercreek Road and South Henrici Road.
When deputies arrived at the scene, one of the vehicles was engulfed in flames. Deputies performed CPR on the driver of one of the vehicles until medical units arrived, but they could not save the patient.
After investigating, deputies determined the driver of the other vehicle, 20-year-old Douglas M. McCann, was impaired at the time of the crash.
He was arrested on charges of manslaughter, DUII, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and reckless endangering. He was booked in the Clackamas County Jail.
