Deputies: Bullet narrowly misses victim putting groceries in car at WinCo on SE 82nd Ave.
Someone fired two rounds at a car in the Winco Foods parking lot on Southeast 82nd Avenue while the driver was loading groceries into the vehicle, witnesses said Monday.
There were no reports of injuries from the shooting.
According to officials, the shooting happened shortly after 9 a.m. Monday. Deputies found a bullet hole in the hood of an Acura.
Forensic experts determined the bullet missed the driver -- who was loading groceries through the car door at the time -- by inches, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
The parking lot is equipped with surveillance cameras and deputies think it captured the suspect's vehicle. They are looking for a red, late model sedan. They do not have any further descriptions of suspects in the case, but they say they believe the shooting was random.
