UPDATE: A man who was last seen in late February was found dead on Saturday (March 9), and authorities say his death was ruled a suicide.

Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 31-year-old man who left for work last month and never returned home.

Deputies say Daniel Tonge was last seen Feb. 25. He didn’t tell anyone where he was going. But he enjoys fishing and the outdoors and may have been heading to Harriet or Hagg lakes. He's also known to frequently visit Fish Creek, east of Estacada, and Timothy Lake.

"He's very familiar with the area," stepmom Cynthia Tonge told KATU. "Him and his dad go fishing all the time."

Tonge drives a lifted 1999 Jeep Cherokee with Oregon license plate 871 FLQ. The SUV has off-road tires and a front brush guard.

"It'll turn up somewhere. Hopefully, he is with it," his dad Ray Tonge said holding back tears. "If they see that gold Jeep, call the police."

Tonge is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and a goatee.

"We're getting very concerned," Tonge said. "It is totally out of character."

Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office at 503-655-8211. Please reference CCSO Case # 19-005172.
