Deputies: Suspect crashes into boat in Aloha during pursuit

ALOHA, Ore. – A driver crashed into a boat while fleeing from deputies Sunday night before taking off on foot, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

A deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a reckless driver around 9 p.m. in Aloha, but the driver did not pull over.

The deputy turned on his or her patrol vehicle lights, but the driver led the deputy on a chase before crashing into a boat parked on the street.

The driver exited the vehicle and continued to elude the deputy on foot.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies brought in a K-9 to track the suspect.

Deputies located and detained Said Salah on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempt to elude a police officer in a vehicle, attempt to elude a police officer on foot, reckless driving, two counts of hit and run and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief.
