Deputies arrest Aloha stabbing suspect
Washington County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect in a Tuesday morning stabbing at an apartment complex.
Deputies said the stabbing occurred at Southwest 188th Court and Southwest Farmington Road around 8:10 a.m.
The victim, a 42-year-old man, was stabbed several times in his apartment but the sheriff's office said he was expected to survive his wounds.
Deputies said the suspect fled the scene.
They later found the suspect, 33-year-old Matthew Jay Erb, just after 11:30 a.m. at a bus top at Southwest 198th Avenue and Farmington Road. Deputies arrested him without incident.
Forensics personnel responded to the scene to investigate.
Erb was taken to the Washington County Jail where he faces charges of attempted murder, violation of a restraining order and on an unrelated warrant for DUII. His bail was set at $280,000.
