Deputies warn drivers in Canby after recent car shootings
Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a series of shootings targeting cars along the Canby-Marquam Highway near Barnards Road.
Investigators told KATU News, three cars have been shot at over the last two weeks. The first car was shot on July 25th.
The investigation is ongoing. Deputies were out Saturday investigating the shootings and looking for evidence.
Early Saturday morning around midnight, Aliya Imholt said she heard what sounded like a gunshot.
"I've had plenty of rock chips hit my car. It did not sound like that at all," Imholt said.
Fortunately, her car wasn't damaged badly. She just noticed a chip on her passenger side door.
Another driver told KATU News her car was hit at 4:30 a.m. Saturday. You can see several holes puncturing her car window.
Deputies do not know what type of weapon was used. They are asking drivers to avoid the area or use extreme caution when traveling.
