Hit-and-run driver crashes into window at Les Schwab Tire Center in Sellwood Neighborhood
PORTLAND, Ore. – A driver in a SUV crashed into the window of a Les Schwab Tire Center in Portland’s Sellwood Neighborhood late Wednesday night and then fled the scene.
Emergency personnel responded to the incident in the 2500 block of Southeast Tacoma Street at 11:57 p.m.
When police arrived, they couldn't find the driver.
Both the storefront and the SUV were badly damaged in the crash. Police are waiting for an inspector to check the structure of the building before they remove the vehicle.
The Les Schwab manager says the store will be open for business Thursday.
