Driver runs over officer's foot during North Plains traffic stop
A driver ran over a police officer's foot Tuesday evening during a traffic stop, according to the North Plains Police Department.
Police said the driver was driving recklessly. The officer went in to make an arrest, but the driver pulled away.
The officer was dragged a short distance before he fell and the car ran over his foot.
The driver got away.
The officer went to the hospital for treatment and was later released.
