Drivers get quite a scare from man appearing to wave a gun at them

SALEM, Ore. - A man who appeared to be waving a gun at motorists in Salem was taken into custody and charged with menacing and disorderly conduct.

Oregon State Police troopers responded to the Mission Street southbound exit ramp off Interstate 5 after getting several reports of a man pointing a firearm at passing motorists.

Troopers quickly spotted the man in question and saw that he was holding a dark object in his hand. They took the man into custody at gunpoint and discovered that he had an object that was made to look like a pistol.

The man, 52-year-old Noe Gonzalez, was lodged in the Marion County Jail following his arrest.
