PORTLAND, Ore. – A tree fell along NW Germantown Road Wednesday afternoon, bringing down a power pole with it.

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office closed the road between NW Skyline Boulevard and NW Kaiser Road while crews cleared it. The road was reopened around 7 p.m.

Deputies expect the closure to last through the evening commute. Drivers should take Cornelius Pass road, Cornell Road, or Highway 26 as alternate routes.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the Columbia River Gorge as strong gusts sweep across the region.
