Fire at Vancouver apartment complex displaces 24 people
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Fire officials say a fire at a Vancouver apartment complex displaced six families, 24 people, Monday morning.
Emergency personnel responded to a report of a commercial fire at 3206 Bridge Street at 2:40 a.m.
Police assisted firefighters in evacuating people from the multi-unit complex. No one was injured.
Portland Fire and Rescue and Clark County Fire also helped battle the flames.
Officials said it took firefighters about 30 minutes to control the fire.
The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
The fire caused officials to close one block around 32nd Street and Bridge Street in the Rosemere Neighborhood.
