OSP takes suspect into custody following standoff in Columbia County

GOBLE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police troopers took a suspect into custody after an hours-long standoff in Goble, Ore. Tuesday night.

During the standoff, a SWAT team surrounded the man and police said he had weapons, but no hostages.

The incident occurred on Nicolai Road.

Officials asked people in the area to stay indoors.

Goble is on Highway 30 about 12 miles north of St. Helens.
