Graffiti artists run amok, or art? Eye-catching building pops up next to Burnside Bridge
SpongeBob SquarePants or an outfit a clown might wear?
That's just some of the online reaction to a new office building on the east side of the Burnside Bridge.
The colorful paint job, which looks as if graffiti artists have run amok, is actually by design.
The project is known as the "Fair-Haired Dumbell," and it's the work of the Guerilla Development company.
Guerilla Development is the same company responsible for several other eye-catching buildings around town, including The Zipper on Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
The new building is supposed to be equally funky on the inside.
