Gresham police take home invasion suspect into custody

GRESHAM, Ore. – Police responded to a home invasion in Gresham early Saturday morning.

Police say a person called 911 saying someone he or she knows was hanging around outside the caller’s apartment and refusing to leave.

Officers arrived at the Kaskela Apartments on Northeast 186th Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

Police say the man broke through the door and entered the apartment. The resident evacuated the apartment and demanded the intruder come out, but he refused.

Officers used a K-9 to take the man into custody.
