Hazardous material team cleans acid spill on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue’s hazardous material team responded to a spill of muriatic acid in Beaverton Tuesday morning.

Officials say the spill was on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway near Highway 217.

A hazardous material team neutralized the acid so public works could clean the remainder of the product off the roadway.

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue says there’s no additional hazards to the public.
