HILLSBORO, Ore. – They might be muggles, but some students at a Hillsboro school are transported to Hogwarts every time they step into the classroom.

Evergreen Middle School teacher Kyle Hubler wanted to bring a little bit of the magical world of Harry Potter to his classroom.

He said he hopes to inspire and motivate his students to share their own creative side.

Hubler said he worked six hours a day through five weeks of hot summer weather to bring his vision of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to life.

The students, Hubler says, have responded to his passion even if they aren't Harry Potter fans.

"They're drawing pictures of the things that they're really into and they're sharing that with me," said Hubler. “They see that I'm sharing my passion with them and so they want to do that back and share their passion with me."

Hubler doesn't work the Potter theme into every lesson, but he did divide his students into “houses" like in the books.
