I-5 northbound closed at Marquam Bridge for repairs, expected to reopen early Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. – Transportation crews closed of a section of Interstate 5 northbound through Portland on Friday night.

The northbound lanes are closed from the Marquam Bridge to the Fremont Bridge.

They are expected to be back pen by about 5 a.m.

The closure will allow crews to do electrical repairs and inspection work.

Anyone heading north on the interstate or hoping to take I-84 eastbound can take I-405 north to the Fremont Bridge, and double back south on I-5.
