BEAVERTON, Ore. – Investigators are looking for a driver who may have witnessed a deadly crash on the Tualatin Valley Highway near Cornelius earlier this month.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says Dionicio Olvera, 59, of Hillsboro, was hit by a driver just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 while crossing TV Highway near 334th Avenue.

The driver, a 20-year-old, stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators.

The sheriff’s office released new photos and video on Tuesday (March 19) of a vehicle that was driving through the area at the time of the crash. Investigators believe this person could be a material witness in the case.

If you know the driver of that vehicle, or have any helpful information, officers would like to hear from you at (503) 526-2260.

The speed limit in the area is 55 mph, and investigators say the nearest marked crosswalk was several miles from the crash scene. People who walk along that section of TV Highway say it is very dangerous.

Deputies said there was another fatal crash in the same area a few years ago.
