Lake Oswego police officer strikes pedestrian

A Lake Oswego police officer responding to a call struck a pedestrian Tuesday, according to the Lake Oswego Police Department.

It happened at A Avenue and 4th Street.

Police said the 68-year-old woman received minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The officer was traveling with lights and sirens when he hit the woman, who police said was crossing the street legally in a crosswalk and had the walk signal.

Police said the officer didn’t see the woman.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
