Man arrested in connection with North Plains killing
A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a killing outside North Plains last week.
Washington County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home off Dairy Creek Road last Tuesday. They found Michael Zven Arch dead from a gunshot wound.
A week later they named 38-year-old Chad Brandon Pitcher as a suspect in the case. But on Thursday, they said they arrested Christopher Jay Stephens, a second suspect, in Tualatin during a traffic stop.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail, where he faces a murder charge.
Stephens lives in Newberg.
Pitcher is still at large. Deputies say he should be considered armed and dangerous and warn the public to not approach him.
Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call (503) 629-0111 or 911 if he is seen.
