MORROW COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police say a man who was found with a gunshot wound at a Morrow County gas station claimed he was kidnapped.

Troopers responded to the Love's Truck Stop near exit 159 around 7:30 a.m. last Thursday.

The 48-year-old man from Eugene was found inside a car suffering from a gunshot wound, and hospitalized shortly after.

He told police he had been kidnapped and dropped off on Interstate 84 near milepost 151 by his abductors, who were driving a maroon van.

The man says he then waved down a Good Samaritan, who dropped him off at Love's Truck Stop.

Troopers say there's no evidence indicating there is a threat to the general public.
