A driver struck and killed a 60-year-old Corvallis man Thursday night.

Police said the man was wearing dark clothing as he walked along the fog line on Northeast Circle Boulevard near Belvue Street. The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he died.

The crash happened at 7 p.m.

Police said the crash site was poorly lit and the weather contributed to low visibility.

The driver, from Albany, cooperated with investigators. Police said they don’t suspect drugs, alcohol or distracted driving to be factors in the crash.

No charges have been filed against the driver.

Police have not released the name of the man who died, pending notification of family members.
