Milwaukie High School students add a splash of color to temporary modular units
MILWAUKIE, Ore. – Students at Milwaukie High School are making the best of a less-than-ideal situation.
The main building of the school is being remodeled this year and that’s forced students to attend class in modular units, which are more functional than stylish.
Saturday, the students got together to make their learning environment a bit more attractive. They created two dozen panels to brighten things up.
“Art makes me feel calm and relaxed, but it’s also messy and fun too,” said Zoe Lugosi, a junior at Milwaukie High School.
The panels will go on the outside of the trailers.
Students will attend class there the entire year. The work on the main school building should be done by fall 2019.
