Police have found the body of a mother who went missing in Lincoln City Thursday night.

Jeana Beck, 49, was reported missing after she failed to return to her Lincoln City motel room on Thursday night.

Lincoln City Police said Beck was last seen at the Rodeway Inn. Family members told police she was staying at the motel with her 23-year-old son who has autism when she went out for a cigarette and never returned.

Police say friends and family came to Lincoln City to assist in searching for Beck. Around 9:40 pm on Friday, police found her body in the canal that runs behind the motel.

Police say that upon initial examination, there were no visible signs of injury. An autopsy has been scheduled for Sunday.
