Motorcyclist killed in crash at Beaverton intersection

BEAVERTON, Ore. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at the intersection of Southwest Murray Boulevard and Southwest Hart Road in Beaverton Wednesday morning.

Beaverton police say the crash occurred around 7 a.m.

They say the motorcyclist was traveling south on Southwest Murray Boulevard and a driver in a van was heading north on Southwest Murray Boulevard, turning left onto Southwest Hart Road, when they collided in the intersection.

Police have not yet determined who is at fault, but there is a blinking yellow light at the intersection, indicating drivers must yield when turning left.

The intersection will be closed for the next two or three hours.

The driver of the van remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
