More than 10,000 PGE customers lose power in Washington County during thunderstorm

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore. – More than 10,000 Portland General Electric customers lost power in Washington County as a thunderstorm cell moved through the area Thursday morning.

The cell moved east off the Coast Range around 5:20 a.m. and entered the Beaverton area around 6 a.m.

Heavy rain was reported in the Tigard and King City area.

As of 6:50 a.m., PGE reported 10 outages affecting 10,505 customers.

That number improved throughout the morning. As of 8:10 a.m., there were 21 outages affecting 7,438 customers.
