One person injured in Vancouver house fire

VANCOUVER, Wash. – One person was injured in a fully-involved house fire in Vancouver Saturday morning.

Vancouver Fire Department responded to the incident in the 12100 block of Northeast 79th Street around 4 a.m.

Callers reported a fully-involved house fire with possible occupants still inside.

Crews arrived at the scene and saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage and front of the house. They immediately began applying water from the outside and quickly entered the home.

It took 20 firefighters 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital with smoke inhalation injuries.

The American Red Cross responded to help the displaced occupants.
