Police seek suspect in NE Portland bank robbery


PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a bank robber who stole money from a U.S. Bank branch in Northeast Portland.

According to investigators, a man went into the U.S. Bank on NE Glisan Street at about 1:20 p.m., handed a teller a demand note, and left with some cash.

No word on whether anyone saw a weapon, or if he implied he was armed.

Officers searched the nearby neighborhoods and couldn’t find a suspect.

Witnesses describe the robber as a man in his late 50’s or early 60’s, about 5-foot 7-inches tall, with a medium build.
