Police: Driver runs from officers after crashing into 6 vehicles in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver that ran off after crashing into five other vehicles in Northeast Portland on Tuesday morning.

Officers responded about 9:20 a.m. to a crash near NE 82nd Avenue and Glisan Street that involved six vehicles.

One person involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

They arrived to find that a driver was heading west on Glisan in a silver Toyota Highlander and crashed into several vehicles.

The driver then got out and ran away. A responding officer started to chase the suspect, however, he managed to escape.

Police describe the suspect as about 5-foot 8-inches to 5-foot 11-inches tall, with a medium build, tattoos on his arms, and short red hair. The man also may have a nose injury because of the crash.

Police released an image of the suspect that was captured at the crash scene.
