Police find 6 stolen firearms, ammunition and ballistic vest in meth warrant search

A 35-year-old man was arrested after police found a cache of weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in a Springfield home.

Police were serving a search warrant at the residence related to a meth sales ring investigation.

There, they found 18 firearms (12 handguns, 5 assault rifles, 1 shotgun), six of which were stolen. They also uncovered more than a thousand rounds of ammunition and a ballistic vest.

The suspect, Juan Carlos Guerrero-Rodriguez, was charged with six counts of theft.
