Police identify man shot, killed in SE Portland on Tuesday

Police identified the person who was shot in Southeast Portland’s Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood on Tuesday night as a 27-year-old man.

The shooting was reported at about 10 p.m. in the 3100 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard.

Arriving officers say they found Dakota J. Bachand, 27, with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, however, he later died from the injury.

Police booked Trevian Luster, 19, into the Multnomah County Jail on second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon as a suspect in the case. He is also being held on an open warrant.
