Police investigate gunfire in Northeast Portland neighborhood

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police shut down streets in a Northeast Portland neighborhood Monday to investigate a “shots fired” call.

At this point, there were no reports of injuries.

Officers were called out about 1:30 p.m. on reports of gunfire near the intersection of 15th and Alberta Street. They arrived to find evidence that someone fired a gun, but didn’t locate a shooter.

They searched the area and nearby hospitals for victims, however, they were unable to find anyone with shooting injuries.

Police closed NE 15th Avenue between Wygant and Alberta Streets for an investigation.
