Police investigate string of suspect dog poisonings in Oregon town

JACKSONVILLE, Ore. - Police here warned residents to monitor pets and report any suspicious activity as officer investigate three possible dog poisoning cases.

"We have had three suspected dog poisoning cases reported within the last week. Each of these animals live in close proximity to one another in the area of Applegate and Graham Streets. If your dog or cat has experienced convulsions and or seizures, or any other sign of possible poisoning and you live within the Jacksonville City limits please contact our office," the Jacksonville, Oregon, Police said on Facebook. "If you live in the Applegate/Graham street area and have witnessed any suspicious activity that you feel may be related to these case's please contact our office."

Police asked anyone with surveillance video from the area to call Sgt. Greg Nichols at (541) 899-7100.

"Know that we take this very seriously," police said, "and will make every effort possible to identify the person or persons responsible and hold them accountable for their crimes."
