Police: Driver leads officers on chase from Vancouver to Portland area

A reckless driver Vancouver Police attempted to pull over Tuesday afternoon is now in the Portland area, officials said.

Police attempted to pull over the driver of a white F-250 pickup in Vancouver around 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of St. Johns and E Fourth Plain Boulevards.

After trying to get the driver to stop with a PIT maneuver, Vancouver police called off the chase near Jantzen Beach.

Portland Police said they are helping Vancouver officers track down the driver.

So far, they've had no luck.

Vancouver Police said a window in the pickup was shattered during the attempted PIT maneuver. A spokesperson said no shots were fired during the incident.
