Police search for suspect who robbed Northeast Portland convenience store at gunpoint
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Police Bureau is searching for the man who robbed the Union Market on Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at gunpoint Saturday evening.
When police arrived, they collected fingerprints and searched for the suspect, but did not locate him.
Investigators said he left the area on a bicycle.
Employees say he stole about $200. They say this doesn’t happen often, but there have been a couple robberies in the neighborhood lately.
The suspect is a black man who’s in his late 20s. He was wearing a black jacket, a blue or black hoodie, bright blue jeans and red shoes. He was armed with a handgun.
