Police seek wanted domestic violence, hit-and-run suspect in Portland area
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are searching for a 27-year-old who is wanted for several domestic violence-related charges, and for an open hit-and-run warrant.
According to police, Gabriel Sandoval was last seen about 10:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store at NE 60th Avenue and Prescott Street.
Witnesses said he was armed with a baseball bat and left the scene with his girlfriend against her will.
His girlfriend called 911 shortly after 11 a.m., saying she’d been stabbed and was near SE 82nd Avenue and Rhine Street. She was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
Sandoval’s whereabouts are unknown.
He’s described as about 5-foot 6-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with short, black hair.
He is believed to be driving a white 2013 Nissan Altima with Oregon license plate CA 94827. Officials said he could be armed with a baseball bat and a knife.
