PORTLAND, Ore. – A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was shot in Southeast Portland’s Glenfair neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Officers were called out just before 3 a.m. Sunday on reports of a shooting near the intersection of Southeast 157th Avenue and Stark Street.

They arrived to find a man “bleeding heavily” from his leg. Officers put a tourniquet on the leg before an ambulance took him to the hospital.

At this point, police have not released any information on the suspect or suspects in the case.

Officers closed Southeast 157th between Stark and Burnside for a shooting investigation.

They ask anyone with helpful information to call them at (503) 823-3333 or to email crimetips@portlandoregon.gov.
