PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police said they arrested a suspect Saturday who’s accused of shooting a man at a 7-Eleven Thursday morning.

Police said they found a burgundy 2000 Honda Accord Saturday morning at 10:51 a.m. They said this is the vehicle they believe was associated with the shooting that injured one person.

Officers located the vehicle near Southwest 19th Avenue and Southwest Vermont Street. They saw a man approach, enter and exit the vehicle.

While more officers responded to the area, the man left the vehicle and returned to a nearby apartment complex, police said.

Officers established a perimeter around the apartment and Special Emergency Reaction Team members arrested the suspect, 20-year-old Devyn M. Julkowski, near the intersection of Southwest 19th Avenue and Southwest Vermont Street.

Police located a firearm inside the Honda. They collected it as evidence.

Julkowski was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and felon in possession of a firearm.

Anyone with information about the shooting or Julkowski should contact Detective Shaye Samora at 503-823-0400.
