PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Police Bureau has returned a recovered stolen phone to its proper owners after sharing a photo on Twitter Tuesday.

Police said they found the black iPhone while serving a search warrant Monday night near Southeast 82nd Avenue and Clatsop Street.

They found several stolen items linked to victims, but the phone was a mystery. They were hoping the photo on the lock screen could lead them back to the phone’s owner.

Tuesday morning, they tweeted again saying the phone has been returned to the owners.

They thanked everyone who helped.
