Portland police search for carjacking suspects and stolen vehicle
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police officers are investigating a carjacking that occurred in Southeast Portland shortly after midnight Monday.
Officers were called out about 12:10 a.m. on reports of a robbery in the parking lot of the Shell Jackson Gas Station at 2450 SE 122nd Avenue.
"They're young, I wasn't expecting that," said Eric, the victim who was coming home from work when he was carjacked. "When he pulled his gun, he shoved it in my head - like close to my head."
Eric asked KATU News to not give out his last name. He says he had just gotten off work and stopped at the gas station for a snack. There were a couple cars getting gas ahead of him so he says driving off after having the gun pointed at his head wasn't an option.
"'I'm not kidding, get out of the car, leave everything,'" Eric recalls them saying to him. "It's not worth it, I'm not going to do anything stupid. If they take my life... I have a family."
The suspects got in the vehicle and drove away from the gas station on Southeast Division Street.
Police searched the area, but did not locate the suspects or the stolen vehicle.
The stolen vehicle is a gray 2005 Porsche Cayenne with Oregon license plate 413-HSE. Eric says he left his cell phone in the car, which he hoped would lead police to the vehicle's location, but so far he says there's been no luck.
Anyone who sees the vehicle should call 911. Anyone with additional information about the incident should contact Portland Police Bureau Robbery Detail at 503-823-0412.
