Portland police use remote camera on K-9 to capture wanted man

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Police Bureau says officers used a remote camera on a K-9 to take a wanted man into custody Monday night.

The incident occurred just after 11:30 p.m. near Southeast 97th Avenue and Southeast Ankeny Street.

Police say they used a camera attached to the K-9 named Rookie to track the suspect to a residence.

Officers located the suspect and took him into custody on a felony warrant.

The suspect was identified as 19-year-old Mohamed Ali.
