Projects to house homeless get $12 million

A pair of Portland projects aimed at housing the homeless has landed $12 million in funding.

The mayor's office announced the decision Thursday.

The pilot programs will provide a combined 98 housing units for the homeless population.

The funding is provided by Portland Housing Bureau, the Joint Office of Homeless Services, Multnomah County Mental Health & Addiction Services, and Oregon Housing and Community Services.
