Police say two puppies were taken from a Vancouver home during a break-in.

It happened Tuesday morning on 72nd Drive.

The puppies' owner, Morgan Nelson, says she locked her two 4-month-old blue tick coonhounds in their kennels before she left for work that morning.

She says her friend saw her door was suspiciously open, and called her.

She came home and found her door kicked in and her two puppies gone.

"I don't know who had my dogs, who has my dogs now, what's happening to them. That's the worst part is that I don't know what is happening to them," said Nelson.

Coonhounds are known to be bred for hunting. Vancouver police say cash was also taken.

They don't have any suspects at this time.
