Police activity puts Salem elementary school on lockdown
SALEM, Ore. – A Southeast Salem elementary school was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon over police activity in the neighborhood, district officials said.
Salem-Keizer School District officials said Pringle Elementary is under a lockdown while officers handle a call in the area.
All of the students and staff members are safe, according to a tweet sent out about 1:30 p.m.
No word on what prompted the police activity.
