GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. – Timberline Lodge and Ski Area says the snow stake that was reportedly stolen Friday night was found Saturday afternoon.

In a Facebook post, Timberline said the metal and wood stake that helps measure how much new snow the ski area receives had been stolen.

Timberline said it was offering a reward for information that leads to the return of the beloved snow stake.

Saturday afternoon, Timberline posted to Facebook again saying, "The snow stake has been found! Thank you for all the love and support! Rest assured, there is a tale to be told about this, but just not yet."

KATU News reached out to Timberline. They said they can't comment on how the stake was found and currently aren't releasing any more information than what's in the Facebook post.
