Speeding, drunk driving, open beer: Deputies pull over Corvette twice in one morning
The Fourth of July celebration didn't slow down for two drivers in Hillsboro Friday morning.
In fact, it sped up.
Deputies say they stopped a Corvette traveling over 100 mph in Hillsboro around 7 a.m., and cited the driver for speeding, driving with a suspended license, and failure to install an ignition interlock device (a breathalyzer test one must pass to start a car).
The driver ended up with a $2,000 ticket.
Four hours later around 11 a.m., deputies say a concerned community member in Aloha called to report a drunk driver in that same sports car.
When deputies showed up, they reportedly found a different driver behind the wheel who was over two times the legal blood-alcohol limit.
The first driver.
Deputies say he was cited again for having and open beer.
The Corvette got towed.
