Starbucks in NE Portland robbed at knifepoint

PORTLAND, Ore. – Someone robbed the Lloyd District Starbucks at knifepoint on Saturday morning, and police are searching for the suspect.

Employees told police that a man walked into the coffee shop on NE Grand Avenue at about 6:15 a.m. while brandishing a knife and demanded money from a cashier.

He took some cash and ran off, witnesses said.

Officers describe the man as in his 40’s, about 6 feet tall, with a slim build.

Police have not released a clothing description or surveillance photos from the incident.
